LIMA (Reuters) - The United States has not directly asked Peru to break ties with North Korea and Lima is not currently planning taking any actions regarding the Asian nation, a Peru government source said on Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence urged Peru, Brazil, Chile and Mexico to break ties with North Korea.. Peru asked North Korea to reduce its embassy personnel in Lima a couple months ago over an unrelated matter, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
