LONDON: British Prime Minister Theresa May will meet Queen Elizabeth II on Friday and seek permission to form a new government, a spokesman said.  

May will visit Buckingham Palace at 12.30pm local time (1130 GMT) as leader of the Conservative party, which won the most seats in Thursday’s general election but lost its parliamentary majority.
