MOSCOW (Reuters) - Six Russian warplanes launched a coordinated strike on Islamic State targets in the Syrian province of Deir al-Zor, Russian news agencies reported on Tuesday, citing the Russian defence ministry.
The defence ministry said the Russian Tu-22 bombers flew from an air base in Russia over the territory of Iraq and Iran to make the strike.
