BOGOTA (Reuters) - Colombia's armed forces seized a record 378.3 tonnes of cocaine in 2016, nearly 50 percent more than the year before, while murder were down by 4 percent, Defence Minister Luis Carlos Villegas said on Wednesday.
Homicides fell to 12,252 last year, Villegas told journalists, as the government signed a peace deal with the Marxist Revolutionary Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebels. Attacks on infrastructure were also down.
