Kosovo's ruling PDK party declares victory in election

PRISTINA (Reuters) - Kosovo's ruling party of Prime Minister Hashim Thaci declared victory on Sunday in a parliamentary election marked by low turnout among Kosovars frustrated with widespread poverty and corruption.

With the Democratic Party of Kosovo ahead in a partial vote count, deputy leader Kadri Veseli told a news conference: "Our party is the biggest winner of the national election."
