New Libyan prime minister wins confidence vote - lawmaker

TRIPOLI (Reuters) - Libya's new prime minister, Ahmed Maiteeq, won a confidence vote in parliament on Sunday, a lawmaker said, after deputies held a session in defiance of warnings from a renegade general who says the assembly has no legitimacy. Gunmen claiming loyalty to retired Libyan general Khalifa Haftar attacked parliament a week ago just as Maiteeq presented lawmakers with his government for approval.
