JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli troops shot and killed a member of the Palestinian security forces whom they were seeking to arrest in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, the Israeli military said.
Palestinian residents named the man as Saleh Yassin, 27, a Palestinian intelligence officer. Local hospital staff said he had been shot in the back.
