BEIRUT (Reuters) - A rocket was fired from south Lebanon towards Israel on Sunday, Lebanese residents and security sources said, but it was not clear where the rocket landed and there were no immediate reports of damage inside Israel.
The rocket launch could be heard from the Lebanese town of Marjayoun, about 10 km (six miles) from the Israeli border. An Israeli military source said residents of a northern Israeli town reported hearing an explosion and Israeli police said forces were searching the area.
