Child raped by cousin who took her home
By ANDREW SAGAYAM
PETALING JAYA: A four-year-old girl was raped by her teenage cousin at her home in Taman Kinrara after he fetched her for the first time from a nearby kindergarten.
The girl’s mother, a 35-year-old housewife, had asked her 18-year-old nephew, a restaurant worker, to fetch her daughter at 3pm on Tuesday as she had to meet a friend.
Subang Jaya police chief Asst Comm Zainal Rashid Abu Bakar said the teenager was asked to take the girl back to his house in Bandar Kinrara and wait for the mother to fetch her from there.
“Instead, he took her back to her house and forced himself on her. He then took the girl back to his house.
“The boy’s mother suspected something was amiss when the girl complained of severe pain in her private parts and couldn’t stop crying. When questioned, the girl related her ordeal,” ACP Zainal Rashid said.
He said the girl’s mother lodged a report at the Subang Jaya district police headquarters and the teenager was arrested several hours later.
In another case, a 19-year-old Nepalese was arrested for raping a 16-year-old student after promising to teach her to play the guitar.
ACP Zainal Rashid said that last Friday, the fast food outlet worker met the schoolgirl at South City Plaza where he worked and then coaxed her into following him home.
“He promised to teach her to play some songs on the guitar.
“At his nearby apartment, he offered the girl a drink.
“Minutes after consuming the drink that was believed to be spiked, she felt dizzy and became unconscious,” ACP Zainal Rashid said.
The girl lodged a police report five days later as she could not locate the Nepalese.
He was picked at the fast food outlet soon after the report was lodged.
