Seven injured in clothes dryer machine explosion near Bangkok


BANGKOK: Seven people were injured when a clothes dryer at a laundry in Nonthaburi exploded on Monday.

Police said the explosion at the La-ong Fong laundry in Pong Tham Niwet on Soi Chaeg Wattana-Pakkred 32 in Tambon Talad in Nonthaburi’s Pakkret district, 25km north of the capital, happened at 10.30am.

The explosion badly damaged the front of the shop and officials are trying to determine the cause of the explosion.

Five people were rushed to the Irrigation Department Hospital and two others to Mongkut Chaeng Wattana Hospital. Police said two of the injured were children. - The Nation/Asia News Network
