KOBE: A meeting of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which comprises Japan, China and 14 other countries, kicked off in Kobe as the first gathering of the free trade framework since the United States declared its withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) pact.
The latest meeting, which is attracting attention as a touchstone for the future of free trade around the world, also included Australia, New Zealand and members of Asean.
