BEIJING: A would-be thief has been arrested after he spent hours trying but failing to cut into bank cash machines with welding equipment in a city in southern China, Chinese media reported.
The man, whose full name was not given, used welding guns and torches to try steal money from three ATMs in Guilin in the Guangxi region on Lunar New Year’s Eve, the local newspaper Nanguo Zaobao reported.
