BANGKOK: A Bangkok policeman, arrested for alleged involvement in drug money laundering, has been suspended from civil service pending a probe, while the name list of influential criminal figures pointed fingers at some 20 police – most from the Northeast – for involvement in drug trafficking, said Narcotics Suppression Bureau chief Pol Lt-Colonel Rewat Klinkesorn.
The bureau and related agencies would investigate to find evidence and subject the guilty officers to criminal prosecution and disciplinary punishments, Rewat said.
