BEIJING: The former deputy chief of China's top economic planning agency was charged with bribery Monday, authorities said, becoming the highest-ranking official to date to face criminal charges in the current graft crackdown.
Prosecutors in Langfang laid the charges against Liu Tienan, the onetime deputy director of China's National Development and Reform Commission, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said in a statement on its website.
