KUALA LUMPUR: Two mosques in Ayer Hitam - approved for construction by the previous government but shelved after the general election last year - have been given the go-ahead, says Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).

Dr Wee, who fought for the construction of the two mosques in the past and raised the issue during a debate in Parliament on Oct 22 last year, was informed by Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali on Monday that the construction would proceed.
