Declaration of peace needed to end violence, says minister

KUALA LUMPUR: A declaration of peace will be announced during the “Solidarity for Peace” march in remembrance of victims of the March 15 terrorist attack in Christ­church, New Zealand, says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof.“We hope the declaration can be the voice of all Malaysians that we choose the peaceful way and not hatred,” he said.

He said the attack was a wake-up call that such incidents could take place anywhere.
