Sabah must continue to rebuild, repair longhouses, says Dr Ongkili

The fire that destroyed a longhouse in Sabah's northern Matunggong sub-district in Kota Marudu on Monday night that left some nine families homeless.

KOTA KINABALU: The Warisan-led state government must continue rebuilding and repairing longhouses, traditionally lived in by the Rungus and Murut communities in Sabah, says Parti Bersatu Sabah president Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.

Dr Ongkili, said at least another 24 more longhouses were in dire need of repair or rebuilding in both Tandek and Matunggong in his northern Kota Marudu parliamentary constituency.
