PETALING JAYA: The Election Commission (EC) has received official notification on the vacancy of the Semenyih state seat, says EC secretary Datuk Mohamed Elias Abu Bakar.
In a statement, he said the EC received the notice of the vacancy from Selangor state legislative assembly speaker Ng Suee Lim on Monday (Jan 14) after the seat fell vacant following the death of assemblyman Bakhtiar Mohd Nor, who passed away last Friday (Jan 11).
