Man, 55, stabbed to death at Penang flat

BUKIT MERTAJAM: A 55-year-old man was dead at 3.10pm on Saturday (Jan 12) in a flat unit at Taman Pulasan, Bukit Minyak here.

Initial investigations revealed that the man was stabbed 13 times in his front torso and once in his back.

Asst Supt Md Azman Kadir said the victim was found with a 33-cm long knife stuck to his abdomen and the team also discovered a 23-cm long nail in the bedroom’s toilet.

The victim was an agent who supplied foreign labourers to a few factories in Bukit Tengah and lives with about 10 Myanmar nationals in the flat unit.  

According to a witness, who is the bus driver for the foreign labourers, the victim failed to deliver food for the foreign labourers in the afternoon, prompting him to visit the victim at his flat unit.

The case is currently being investigated for murder.
