KOTA KINABALU: The Sandakan Fishing Association has urged the Sabah Government not to impose the 5% sales tax on frozen seafood exported from the state effective Jan 1.
Association president Phua Peh Chee said the decision to proceed with the imposition of the sales tax, which the previous state government had decided not to implement, is becoming a concern for the fishing community.
