PETALING JAYA: In workplaces like the newsroom or the general media industry, many victims of sexual harassment dare not speak up as power dynamics are imbalanced towards a few powerful gatekeepers, says the Institute of Journalists Malaysia (IOJ)

Referring to the developments arising from a recent report alleging sexual harassment at a local media outlet, the IOJ calls for an immediate and thorough investigation by the management and police into both the harassment and other allegations in the letter.
