Redelineation exercise stands for now, but EC to study if it was fair

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians will have to live with the redelineation exercise that was passed in Parliament before the 14th General Election, but the Election Commission (EC) will conduct an analysis to decide if it was carried out fairly.

"What I intend to do is to actually analyse the redelineation, to form an opinion on whether it is fair or not, (and) to also form an opinion on whether it is in compliance with the 13th Schedule of the Federal Constitution," EC chairman Azhar Harun told BFM’s Melisa Idris on the Breakfast Grille show on Tuesday (Oct 23).
