KUALA LUMPUR: While the Umno party constitution is silent on whether a party leader who is facing criminal charges should step aside, convention states that they should quit, says Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.
The Gua Musang MP, who is popularly known as Ku Li, said in the past, party leaders who had been implicated in legal wrangles had given up their position or taken leave.
