MIRI: SK Sungai Genaan Sebauh in Bintulu division in northern Sarawak was hit by rising waters last night and during the early morning hours today.
About 30 students, who are staying at the school hostel, were affected by the flash floods too.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department in its latest updates said the flood water was about 0.7m high.
Bomba Bintulu received an alert and deployed a team to the site.
"Bomba have prepared four boats in case evacuation of the students is needed.
However, it said there were signs the flood would recede.
Rising river tide and heavy rain have seen several cases of flash floods in the area since last week.
