Duo arrested while attempting to smuggle petrol into Thailand

IPOH: The Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) has arrested two people and seized two cars for attempting to smuggle and sell RON95 petrol to dealers in Thailand.

Perak KPDNKK chief enforcement officer Shamsul Nizam Khalil said the duo, a 31-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, were caught at a petrol kiosk in Pengkalan Hulu, a small town in northern Perak close to the Thai border, on Friday (July 13) at about 11.45am.
