GEORGE TOWN: There will be 962 recipients of state awards during the investiture ceremony to mark the Penang Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas' 80th birthday.
State secretary Datuk Seri Farizan Darus said two people will head the state honours list by receiving the Darjah Panglima Pangkuan Negeri (DPPN), which accords the "Datuk Seri" title.
