KOTA KINABALU: Rela (People's Volunteer Corps) members who are assigned to monitor the Eastern Sabah Safety Zone (Esszone) need to be properly trained and armed, as well as compensated fairly, says Datuk Azis Jamman.
The Deputy Home Minister said it was crucial that Rela personnel in Esszone were prepared, well-equipped and armed to face the threat of terrorism.
