A PROMISE was made to the people of Malaysia in the immediate aftermath of the 14th General Election on May 9.
The incoming Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced that he would clean things up, set things right and will be premier for up to two years, perhaps stepping down earlier, to hand over the reins to his former successor-turned-foe-turned-successor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
