Groups: DBKL denied us Ramadan lots but not a political party

Controversial issue: Abd Rahman is claiming that DBKL rejected earlier applications on the grounds that a bazaar will obstruct the existing business premises along the stretch.

PETALING JAYA: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) should have given the 80 Ramadan bazaar lots in Jalan Masjid India, Kuala Lumpur to the six associations which applied for them earlier, said a representative.

Abd Rahman Sulaiman, the vice-secretary of Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman Hawkers and Petty Traders Association, questioned why was it all right for a political party to obtain the approval while the groups’ requests were turned down.
