Police gun down two men who attacked patrol team in Rembau, NS

REMBAU : The police killed two men who attacked a patrol team here in the early hours of Tuesday (May 22) morning.

The two men had refused to stop along Jalan Astana Raja here when the patrol team flagged down their vehicle, according to information from sources.

Policemen gave chase but then one of the vehicle's occupants fired several shots, forcing police to return fire.

Another man was killed when he tried to attack policemen with a machete.

No identifying documents were found on both men.

In the incident, another two suspects fled from the vehicle into the nearby jungle.

It is understood that state police chief DCP Noor Azam Jamaluddin is scheduled to hold a press conference on the incident at 3pm tomorrow (May 23).
