KUALA LUMPUR: Eleven Muslim Uighurs who escaped from an immigration detention depot in Thailand were charged with entering Malaysia illegally at a magistrate’s court here.
The Uighurs are an ethnic group who originate from China's Xinjiang province, where there have been reports of civil unrest.
