Group wants proper rules on short-term stays


PETALING JAYA: Given that Airbnb or homestay has become a global trend, the authorities should introduce rules and regulations that are in line with the trend, says Friends of Kota Damansara chairman Jeffrey Phang.

“Having said that, however, these rules should not hinder the growth of the tourism industry as more travellers prefer Airbnb-style lodging because of its lower cost and the local experience,” he said.
