Chief Justice: Mediation method proven to reduce case backlog

IPOH: The Court-Annexed mediation method available in several high and subordinate courts nationwide has proven to reduce backlog cases, Chief Justice Tun Md Raus Sharif (pic) said.

He said with the set up of mediation centres at the Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam, Johor Baru, Penang, and now at the Ipoh High Courts, some 50% of cases have been resolved without having to go for a full trial process.
