KLANG: The Klang magistrate’s court granted a four-day remand order for two men over investigations into the alleged vandalising of a Customs Department officer’s house.
The men, aged 48 and 49, are being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for causing mischief for allegedly splashing red paint on the officer’s house in Port Klang near here on Dec 9 last year.
Court assistant registrar Azimah Yusof granted the remand order from Thursday (Feb 1).
The men were handed over to the Klang South police on Wednesday (Jan 30) after they were arrested in Putrajaya last Sunday (Jan 28).
They had been remanded for three days to help with investigations under Section 507 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
They were investigated under suspicion of setting four cars belonging to another senior Customs Department officer on fire in Putrajaya on Jan 23.
The cars belonged to Customs Department senior assistant director Nor Azman Mat Jini and his family members.
