IPOH: A World War II underground air shelter has been discovered on the grounds of the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport here.
Malaya Historical Group chief researcher Shaharom Ahmad said the bunker, located 2m underground, was believed to have been built by the British to protect their soldiers and civilians from enemy air strikes circa 1940.
