ISKANDAR PUTERI: Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin (pic) has promised to address the graft accusation in connection with the Johor land scandal that broke out in March.

The Johor Mentri Besar said the issue in which he was accused of receiving payments for transferring bumiputra lots to non-bumiputra status would be addressed during his rounding up speech at the state assembly sitting next Monday (Dec 4).

“Since the issue was brought up during the sitting, I will answer there.

“I am not going to run. I’m here,” he told reporters when asked about the issue during a break at the sitting here on Thursday (Nov 30).

On Monday (Nov 27), Senai assemblyman Wong Shu Qi questioned the authenticity of several documents and information uploaded online, implicating Khaled in the scandal.

Wong, referring to a report on unnamed website, had claimed that the mentri besar received RM12mil, of which RM11.2mil was in cash, from developers to change bumiputra lots to non-bumiputra lots.
