JASIN: A pilot is believed to have been killed while one other person was seriously injured when a light aircraft crashed into a river near here.

Melaka Fire and Rescue Department chief Deputy Supt Kamarulzaman Mohd Din said rescuers found the plane's passenger, identified as Mohd Shahrul Shafiree, 35, along the riverbank in a semi-conscious state at about 11.50amThe 53-year-old pilot of the Quicksilver GT-500 plane is believed to have drowned when the aircraft crashed in the river near the Sungai Rambai airfield.
