PETALING JAYA: Almost a week has passed since Datuk Eric See-To (pic) challenged Rafizi Ramli to a debate, but the PKR vice-president has yet to say if he will accept.
In a statement on Friday evening, the Barisan Nasional strategic communications (BNSC) deputy director said he had publicly asked the Pandan MP to debate him on the subject of the controversial Penang Tunnel project as "no one from DAP wanted to take up that topic".
Last Saturday, DAP lawmaker Tony Pua had declined to debate See-To, on the subject, stating that he is a "nobody".
See-to said Rafizi should have "no problems" debating the Penang Tunnel project as he had access to DAP leaders to find out all the details about the project.
Rafizi had publicly challenged See-To to a debate on the topic of tax collection, which the latter accepted on the condition that Rafizi convinced Pua to debate him on the Project Tunnel project.
See-To later said that if Pua declined, he would be willing to debate Rafizi on both topics.
"Sadly, even after almost a week, Rafizi has yet to say whether or not he accepts this dual debate.
"Are we on or not, YB Rafizi Ramli?" he asked.
