KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Court has set Feb 7 to hear an appeal by the National Registration Department (NRD) and two others over a ruling that a Muslim child conceived out of wedlock can use his or her father's surname instead of "bin Abdullah".
Deputy Registrar Syahrin Jeli Bohari fixed the date during case management on Tuesday.
