Chong: DAP should stop misleading the public

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Education Minister Datuk Chong Sin Woon said the DAP should stop misleading the public over the government allocations for Chinese vernacular schools.

He added that the ministry had opened applications in July this year for Chinese schools to apply for allocations to refurbish and renovate the schools.

“Quantity surveyors will need to go to the schools to make measurements and assess the schools’ plans before the funds can be disbursed,” he said after attending the closing ceremony for the 10 Economic Strategic Directions conference at Wisma MCA here yesterday.

Chong criticised DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng for politicising the allocations for such schools.
