KOTA KINABALU: Authorities have stepped up surveillance of the east coast of Sabah to prevent militants from fleeing to the state as Manila makes its final push to regain control of Marawi.
Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) commander Datuk Hazani Ghazali said sea patrols had been increased and the monitoring of coastal communities intensified.
