KANGAR: The Chinese-speaking Road Transport Department officer who won the hearts of Malaysians is half Chinese and went to a Chinese vernacular primary school.
Nur Syafiqah Azaman’s mother is Chinese and Mandarin is mainly spoken at home, said the department’s state corporate communication chief Mohamad Tarmizi Ghazali.
