NANNING: Running port services alone is not sufficient for holistic economic development and Port Klang Authority chairman Tan Sri Kong Cho Ha (pic) has proposed for more products to ensure sustainable growth of the port business.
He said hinterland for industries, logistics hubs and free trade zones also needed to be developed.

“Cutting logistics cost, speed and accurate delivery determine the competitiveness and success of trade,” he told the audience at the China-Asean Port Cities Cooperation Network Conference here on Wednesday.
During his working visit here, Kong also attended the launch ceremony of China-Asean SMEs Trade Promotion Platform’s official website, which enables small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operators to know more about cross-border trade, the ways to promote their products and to find business partners in China.
