YAN: A 71-year-old man was given seven stitches on his eyebrow after he was on the receiving end of a beating from his own son at a village in Sungai Limau here on Wednesday.
Yan police chief DSP Muhamad Halim Yatim said that in the 4.40pm incident, the victim wanted to go out through the back door of his house to feed his chickens.
He asked his son to move away from the door, but the son got angry and hit him in the face.
"The victim did not fight back and sustained the injury to his right eyebrow. He then filed a report at the Yan Police headquarters," he said in a statement Friday.
According to Muhammad Halim, the suspect was detained at 11pm on the same day.
"The case is being investigated under Section 323/18A of the Domestic Violence Act," he said, adding that the son also tested positive for drugs. – Bernama
