MIRI: A 200m-long longhouse in the Baram district was brunt to the ground Wednesday night.
About 200 residents lost all their property and belongings in the 9pm blaze.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said the fire destroyed the 28-door longhouse, but fortunately there were no injuries or fatalities.
He said the cause of the fire is being probed.
Welfare authorities are delivering emergency food aid and other necessities to the site, which is at least a six-hour drive via logging roads from Miri.
