KOTA KINABALU: All police personnel nationwide are ready for the 14th General Election, says Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
The Inspector-General of Police said preparations for GE 14 have been discussed and made, with police personnel ready to face the polls anytime.
He said this during an official visit and meeting with the Sabah police contingent here on Thursday.
On the curfew order in Sabah, Khalid said it will be continued as long as there are threats from cross-border criminals.
"There is no time frame for when we will call it off. As long as there are threats, the curfew order must stay," he said.
He added that the implementation of the dusk-to-dawn sea curfew in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone) was part of the numerous efforts taken to safeguard the state's east coast.
