Zahid: Poca has helped reduce violent crime

PUTRAJAYA: The reintroduction of the Prevention of Crime Act (Poca) 1959 with amendments has helped significantly reduce dangerous crimes, said Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic).

The Deputy Prime Minister said since the Act was reintroduced in 2014, crimes such as shootings and murder, which are usually related to gangs and secret societies, have been under control.
