KOTA KINABALU: Food seems to be the reason for the appearance of a dugong that got stranded in shallow waters off the east coast of Sandakan town.
The adult animal, which appeared to be healthy, was seen nibbling moss growing on the posts of the houses at the Sim Sim water village for the past three days.
