Amendments draw mixed reaction


KUALA LUMPUR: The new amendments to the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) (Amend­ment) Bill 2016 continue to garner mixed reaction from lawmakers from both sides of the aisle even after it was tabled.

The latest amendment excluded Section 88A that prohibits unilateral conversion of a child to Islam on the grounds that it contravenes the Federal Constitution.
