Police: Over 2000 loan shark cases reported from Jan 2016 to July 2017

KUALA LUMPUR: Over 2,000 cases of loan sharks have been reported nationwide between January 2016 and July 2017, said Bukit Aman commercial crimes and investigation deputy director Comm Datuk A. Thaiveegan (pic).

"A total of 2,273 cases were reported in this period, involving about RM68.8mil in loans," said Comm Thaiveegan who added that police have managed to solve 50 per cent of these cases.
